Appointed to the OBP Board in November 2023, Dr. Linda Makuleni is a results-driven leader who promotes high performance and strong stakeholder relationships in the Animal Health and Biotechnology sector.

Dr Makuleni is a visionary leader in the Animal Health and Biotechnology sector, renowned for driving strategy, corporate governance, risk and operational management, business growth, and strong stakeholder and government relationships.

She has served on multiple boards, including Glen College of Agriculture, UNISA’s Graduate School of Business Leadership, the AMS Board on Global Strategies, and as Co-Vice Chair of the Intergovernmental Board on Climate Service Management.

She has completed professional development programs in management, corporate governance, quality management, executive leadership, and business operations.

Dr Makuleni holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMCh) from the Medical University of South Africa. She has strengthened her executive and leadership expertise through the Management Advancement Program at Wits Business School, the International Executive Advancement Program at Wits Business School, London Business School, and Peking University. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Gordon Institute of Business.
