Mr Mokutule Kgobokoe, appointed to the OBP Board on 1 November 2023, is a highly experienced leader in South Africa’s agricultural sector, with nearly three decades in public service. He has held several senior leadership roles, including Deputy Director-General positions at the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, where he contributed to strategic policy development, food security initiatives, and sector transformation.

He has successfully overseen corporate support services, provincial operations, policy, planning and monitoring, and food security and agrarian reform, demonstrating strong skills in programme management, stakeholder engagement, and organisational transformation. His experience spans national, provincial, and local agricultural initiatives, including education, training, extension services, and sector capacity development, positioning him as a highly knowledgeable leader in both governance and the agricultural sector

Mr Kgobokoe holds a B.Ed (Honours) and a B.A. in Education from the University of the North West, a Junior Secondary Teachers’ Diploma. He has completed MBA coursework in Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Financial Accounting at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

A seasoned agricultural leader and strategic public sector expert, Mr Mokutule Kgobokoe drives policy, governance, and sectoral transformation across national and provincial landscapes.
