APPOINTMENT OF THE CEO

The Board of the Onderstepoort Biological Products SOC Ltd (OBP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Bethuel Nthangeni as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 1 September 2024.

Dr. Nthangeni holds a PhD degree in Biochemistry and a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) degree. He has a comprehensive understanding of the OBP’s vision, priorities, strategy, and mandate as he has served as the Chief Scientific Officer for more than 10 years. Prior to joining the OBP, he was a senior investment specialist at the Technology Innovation Agency, and a Programme Manager at the Innovation Fund, Department of Science and Innovation.

On behalf of the OBP Board, the Chairperson Prof. Peace Mabeta congratulated Dr. Nthangeni and expressed confidence that through his strategic leadership, he will guide the company to deliver on its primary mandate to manufacture animal vaccines for the prevention and control of animal diseases.
