ASK THE VET: RESPIRATORY DISEASE IN RUMINANTS
Respiratory disease generally refers to a disease whose symptoms include mainly the respiratory tract, which starts with the nose and ends with the lungs. It remains the costliest disease in the form of both mortalities and/or poor health.

ASK THE VET: GETTING THE MOST FROM VACCINES
Besides the cost of the vaccine, there is the cost of labour, equipment, time spent on vaccination, losses related to incorrect use, and so on. Vaccines must therefore always be handled and used correctly, at the right time, using the correct administration route, dose and equipment.

ASK THE VET: IS IT POSSIBLE TO ERADICATE DISEASES?
In human medicine, some diseases have been eradicated and others adequately controlled with the help of vaccines. Examples include smallpox, polio and mumps. Current vaccine research gives us further hope that more diseases will be managed even better in the future. It is also worth noting that a majority of emerging and re-emerging diseases often point to a link between animals and humans.
